Why are we in need of donations and how are funds distributed?

Our dedicated work has allowed us to obtain federal and provincial research operating funds. However, the funding for maintaining and improving infrastructure is very limited. Donations from institutions and individuals are therefore crucial to the success and development of our lab.

In addition, donations permit us to provide a stipend to trainees and undergraduate students in our lab, remunerating excellent students that could not obtain scholarships otherwise due to recent cuts in education.

Importantly, donations offer our students the opportunity to present their work at provincial, national and international conferences, and attend courses abroad. International experiences, such as the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference, have a significant impact on the career of young scientists and physicians. Our donors are recognized in all scientific papers, posters and oral presentations presented by our lab members.
